Training for Obstacle Racing, General Fitness, and Life!
Shale Hill Adventure Farm offers a unique training experience that utilizes both natural and man-made obstacles to help build stamina and endurance that is unmatched with other training techniques. We focus on building a solid core that will enable you to increase your performance level for a longer period of time. We will make you mentally and physically strong enough to reach goals that you never thought were possible.
We have created an outdoor Obstacle Race training facility that combines the best of nature and today’s training techniques to create a military style obstacle course. At Shale Hill Adventure Farm we have a unique training philosophy, we think you should have fun! Building your body and its abilities should be the natural extension of play. As you run, jump, climb and swing, your muscles stretch and strengthen. Playing hard develops hard bodies. As you are running the course, you will learn how to effectively complete obstacles. Your mind will be stretched as well. You will find that you will begin to think more clearly and make decisions with a confidence like you never had before. You will find that a strong mind and body are built together.
We train everyday… rain, shine or snow! We are not a fair weather group, but we do offer an indoor gym for those days that you just want to run on the treadmill, and pump some iron or work out on our heavy bags.
We start your training with a meeting to discuss your physical capabilities and your desired results. We then evaluate you to develop an appropriate training schedule to help you reach your goals. You can select to work on your own or you can hire a trainer to maximize your workout regime.
Group training days will also be available if attendance allows. We have programs designed for both men and women. We will work with individuals, couples, families and teams. At this time we meet for guided group runs on the obstacle course on Sunday mornings at 10am and Wednesdays at 5pm.
TEAM BUILDING AND TRAINING FOR SCHOOL, YOUTH, SOCIAL GROUPS AND CORPORATE OUTINGS
Contact us to reserve a time to bring your school, athletic team, youth organization, social group or company for a team building experience they will love to get their hands on and get dirty. Get out of your everyday routine and walk away with a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment among your fellow team mates and friends. Ask about special arrangements to add a meal to your visit and incentives for large groups. We also schedule school athletic teams to use Shale Hill as part of their training for any number of sports throughout the year.

SUMMER TRAINING CAMPS AND BOOT CAMPS
Sign up for a Boot Camp clinic, or arrange for your club, school, or team to participate in our summer training camps to learn about adopting a healthy life style, building relationships, managing social conflict, and team building all whilst training on our obstacle/adventure course.
